Stopped Clock

The clock had stopped.
But the time was right.

A belly full of blood.
Waist deep in the mud.

Held a lantern tight.
Until it sparkled hot white.

Beloved and hugged.
While the land was scrubbed.

Searched for himself all night.
Long for the plight.

Only a fool would say.
He hadnt held sway.

Chasing rainbows.
Amongst the shadows.

Success grew faster.
Than his soul could master.
