Futile resistance
to the persistence
of a cold existence.

Frozen solid.
Flower crushed.
Into tiny fragments.

Deep frost came quick.
No trick
of the light.

What once shone bright.
Now extinguished.
Warmth relinquished.

In the new dawns fight.
How fast the time had come.
An icy peace begun.

A vast Tundra.
Full of wonder.
Glaciated asunder.
